Must be 18+ with smart serve or working towards smart serve for proshop or food and beverage positions.

Open positions:

  • Food and Beverage server
  • Proshop attendant
  • Outside golf services attendant
  • Groundskeeper/Maintenance
  • Short order cook
Grounds Keeper / Maintenance
  • Reporting to the Superintendent or their designate
  • Daily mowing of Greens, Tees, Fairways and Rough areas using a variety of mechanical equipment
  • Daily golf course set-up including hole changing, tee blocks, garbage collection
  • Bunker grooming with and without mechanical equipment
  • Assist with cultural practices such as topdressing, aeration, brushing, dew removal and hand watering
  • Maintain aesthetics of golf course through clippings collection, line trimming and cart path trimming and clearing
  • Maintain tidy working areas with regular cleaning of equipment, storage areas, and maintenance shop
  • Observes all NGCC safety standards and always, works in a safe manner
  • Performs all other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Min 1 year landscaping experience
  • Must have valid class G2 or G driver’s license
  • Ability to follow direction and work independently and as a team
  • Ability to work outside in hot/cold conditions
  • Ability to operate various motorized vehicles (with training)

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal Up to 44 hours per week (April-November), Monday-Friday, Weekends

Salary: $15.00-$17.00 per hour

**This position requires start times as early as 5am**

Pro Shop Attendant
  • Reporting to the Pro Shop Manager or Assistant Manager
  • Provide excellent customer service, while checking in Members and Guests daily
  • Communicate with Starters and Marshalls to monitor pace of play
  • Merchandise and maintain the Golf Shop
  • Answer phones to help customers with booking tee times, member services or any situation that arises
  • Possess the ability to learn new applications
  • Comfortable handling cash/debit/credit transactions
  • Be able to provide professional and outstanding service to our Members and Guests in daily operations

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

  • 1 Year retail experience
  • Completion of High School (Grade 12} is required
  • Able to work various shifts- days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Must be able to work under pressure during busy periods
  • Good communication skills, written and spoken English
  • Smart Serve certificate

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal (mid April- November)

Salary: $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Holidays, Monday to Friday, Weekend and Holiday availability
  • Up to 35 hours per week

License/Certification:

  • Smart Serve
Outside Golf Services Attendant

Reporting to the Pro Shop Manager, Assistant Manager or their designate

  • Staging power carts to begin the day and storing at end of shift
  • Continuously clean, wash and gas power carts throughout shift
  • Responsible for ensuring the cart shop and outside areas of the Club House are always clean and free of garbage and/or debris
  • Always be aware of the condition of the power carts; If a cart is damaged Document and report it immediately
  • Welcome all golfers and help them navigate the facility when needed
  • Assist with tournament set up and events
  • Able to work a variety of shifts with start times as early as 6:30am
  • Must be able to communicate effectively as public interaction is required
  • Always follow Health & Safety policy guidelines
  • Assist with setting up for tournaments and events with occasionally lifting to 50 pounds

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal (Mid April-November or June -September)

Salary: $15.00 per hour

Short Order Cook
  • Reporting to the Pro Shop Manager, Assistant Manager or their designate
  • Production for all food preparation, event catering, and other functions
  • Consistently maintain and improve upon communication between front and back of house staff
  • Ensure that food quality and cost controls are maintained
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, utensils, and equipment
  • Ensure that knives, tools, and equipment are handled, maintained, and used properly and that safety practices (protective uniforms) are observed when necessary
  • Ensure that all directives of the Management
  • Perform miscellaneous job duties as assigned by management

Specific Skills

  • Knowledge and application of supplies, equipment, and services.
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to follow and enforce safety standards.
  • Knowledge of maintenance and cleanliness of facilities, equipment, supplies, and materials in compliance with Golf Course standards and the Ontario Health Act and Health and Safety Standards.
  • Knowledge of food preparation, presentation methods and techniques.
  • Understanding of cost controls, budget analysis, and inventory control.

Education / Experience:

  • 1 Year restaurant experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Certificate of completion from an approved culinary institute or enrollment towards completion
  • Food Handler Certificate
  • Smart Serve

Schedule: Up to 35 Hours Week, Seasonal Weekdays, Weekends, Holidays, Days, Evenings

Salary: $15.00 / hour

Food and Beverage Server
  • Reporting to the Pro Shop Manager, Assistant Manager or their designate
  • Able to exhibit excellent communication skills while working in a team-oriented environment
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Properly and accurately enter customer’s orders into the POS system.
  • Work a combination of shifts inside the restaurant or on the beer cart.
  • Assist in setting up, serving, and cleaning when hosting tournaments and events
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by Manager on Duty daily
  • Smart Serve Certification
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Must be willing to work a combination of morning and evening shifts, weekends, weekdays & holidays.
  • Always follow the Health & Safety policy & guidelines.

Salary: $15 / hour

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal (Mid April – November)

Experience:

  • Food and Beverage service 1 year (preferred)
  • Ontario Drivers Licences (G1 min) and experience operating a golf cart or willing to learn.
  • Computer and POS experience an asset
